As much as I love wearing trendy feminine pieces, I am not estranged to incorporating menswear inspired pieces in my outfits. I wouldn't consider head to toe tomboyish borrowed-from-my-man look , but taking baby steps in that direction, I don't mind. My outfit today is for sure an evidence of my baby strides. To me, the juxtaposition of the draped skirt and the faux leather varsity jacket, is no doubt a winning combination of two opposite styles. I am sure men envy us per se, because we can wear menswear inspired pieces but the case of vice-versa is amiss here.
Anyways, I am sorry for the mini hiatus from the blog. Certain uncontrollable circumstances kept me away from you all, but glad things are normal, coz I really missed you all. While I was away, I had a chance to attend the Macy's fall fashion event.
The show featured the much renowned media maven and fashion expert Amy E.Goodman and a few of her hand-picked outfits from the latest fall collection at Macy's. The show was spectacular with real life women and men too, walking down the runway.
Amy talked about the 5 most front page fall styles that have taken the fashion industry by storm. I have the entire show in audio, so will have a post ready for you with runway pictures and links to the featured clothing items.
Meanwhile you enjoy what I wore to the evening. Since the event was all about fall fashion in the summer like outside weather,  I picked out this tropical print skirt and carrot orange shirt. I call it fall rocking with a summery vibe
Admittedly, I wanted to wear my new jacket, so the rest of the picks from the look revolve around it. Hope you like it as much as I do !!!!
