TIED AND TRENCHED - brought to you by DRESSLINK

Ever since I lost some inches around my waist( details on how I did it, coming soon...), I have been feeling encouraged to try slimmer silhouettes - like wearing belts around my waist, wearing body-con tops and dresses and donning high-waist bottoms.  All of the aforementioned stated in chronological order of my preference, it was definite that I was going to belt this trench vest c/o DressLink too.

There is something about this suedette trench vest, that got me hooked the minute I spotted it on dresslink's website: well, I guess it's the bold waterfall collar that wowed me.  I wouldn't really vouch for the finishing perfection, but for the price this trench beats the quality of other discounted retailers I've worked with. If you follow me on Instagram, the two recent consecutive posts wearing this same trench, validates my fondness for it.

This outfit today comes out dressy, but the trench would look equally good with a pair of jeans, a  pullover and some boots. The color of the trench is so fun and vibrant, that I felt like pairing it with another fun-bright color. To offset the top half brights, I decided to keep the the bottom dark, which undeniably let the trench do all the talking. Overall I am impressed with the trench  and can't really can't wait to style it different ways.

How would you style it ??

vest- c/o DRESSLINK ( a pinstripe option )
blouse- Zara ( similar
skirt- Express, comes in more colors ( another great option
tights- Gap ( similar option )
heels- Shoedazzle ( lace up option )

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
XO
