The thought of wearing leather on a scorching summer day as terrifying as the thought of wearing a strapless dress on a chilly winter day. In no way does it imply- that you have to stow away your leather clothing, and wait until the right weather to don it. A few tricks up your sleeves and a little style-inspiration will get your leathers sailing through any, even hotter months.
Options like leather vests ( avoid any metal detailing and embellishment, it will just add to the weight), shorts, top n dresses with leather details, and mini skirts, all in breathable colors, and paired with something more breezier, is a great way to embracing leather all summer long.
Today I chose this #miniskirt, in a summer-friendly- ivory shade and an A-line fit....which BTW is a winner! An a-line fit is a universally-flattering silhouette, no matter what size or shape you are, an a-line cut will never fail you. I coupled mine with a sleeveless blouse and a matching eyelet bomber. If you look closely, the jacket sleeves have tiny holes on them, making them ideal for warmer days. So the jacket works towards adding that edge without being hot. The embellished collar takes away the need for any necklace. I could have chosen a lighter top, but the idea was to show you ways of wearing darker colors in summer, and also in the process help you decode the art of layering in summer. The yellow bag is the only pop of color: it is bright but mellow, mellow enough to let the outfit take the center stage. Overall a simple, no-fuss look !
