MINTY FRESH FOR FALL

Hounds tooth and sequins

So today is the second outfit of the budget- friendly evening looks series. The sequins top was a random purchase from forever 21, I liked it to the extent that I skipped the trip to the fitting room. The top otherwise looks fine but it has the loose bottom kind of a fit on me, hence the belt to make it more shapely. The belt gives the top the faux peplum look and I get an illusory tiny waist ( which BTW is just an illusion  ).
On a different note Husband disagreed on todays look, he thought the colors and the textures were way too much. I really respect his unbiased opinion on the looks, and most of the times I honor it  but this time it was my call. I listened to my inherent fashion diva and kept the look as is.

Later during the day, while browsing through the December issue of J. Crew catalog, the under given look caught my attention which played around the same mint and red colors as my outfit. Sot this got me started. I showed it to husband to justify my choice and sense of color and texture combination. He still argued over this weirdo combination ( as per him ), but with a little more haggling I could take him on my side. I swear, it takes a village to convince my dear Husband. But all efforts always pay off, all happy at the end.

P.S- your opinion on this look would be genuinely appreciated.
